trust the journey

Redken Artist Induction Phase 2 is officially in the books which means I have ONE more trip to New York before I have completed Redken Artist Training! Wow! I still can't believe it. It is fast and slow all at the same time. This last phase was great, but had a couple of hard days at the end. I am not one to leave home or my guys on a regular basis, so being away is definitely not my strong suit; and it was showing!

I think what it came down to(besides just being a baby missing my guys!) was this fear of the unknown. All this work, being outside of my comfort zone, the sacrifice of time & finances; where was my guarantee it was all going to work out? Spoiler Alert: There isn't one. You know what there is though? Those who have gone before me and can encourage me to trust the process & trust the journey. And guess what? They've come out pretty alright on the other side!

In life, we don't always get to read the ending before we walk through the story. That is part of the fun, but also part of the risk & part of what can hold us back. If I had not trusted God's plan for my life there's a whole lot of wonderful blessings I would have missed out on! Probably some hurts too, but it's

all part of the deal.

This trip was a good reminder that in life it's not always about being focused on the destination, but on being a good steward of the journey you're on and being present where you're at. I needed that and am lucky to have mentors & peers alike come along side me to support me through the struggles. I just hope I can be a support to them as well when they need it!

I was super blessed to have my second shadowing training the Monday after I got back from New York and wow, what a God thing! If you had asked me my plan I would've said "Oh no, I don't want to sign up for a long Monday right after being gone!" but the facilitator was the AMAZING Ruth Roche so a little nudge said "Hey, make it work. It will be alright!" Boy am I glad I did because God's plan & nudge was way better. What a great class and such a continuing confirmation that this is where I hope to be. Getting the opportunity to balance my day-to-day behind the chair with teaching in good ol' Kansas, America.

Redken Inductees 2024

I don't quite know what the future holds for this Artist journey of mine, but I know this; I am on the journey! I am trusting the process and staying open to the connections that are going to carry me through it. God's plan is not for us to cower in the face of worry, challenges, and the little voice that says you can't; God's plan is for us is that we step fully and bravely into the gifts & opportunities He's given us. I am trying to improve how I do that everyday, and I hope you can too! Be the biggest version of you He's made you to be <3

All the blessings until next time,
