Full Balayage/Foilayage:
A full foilayage or balayage highlight or hair painting would mean we are adding dimension throughout your hair and usually achieving a softer, rooted 'lived-in' or natural effect. Usually large color changes or specialty color corrections fall under this category. Most of my guests only need a full foilayage/balayage once or twice a year and can maintain their color with partial placements in between. Depending on your hair type and extent of color change, this can be a 3-4 hour service.
Full Highlight
A full highlight would mean we are adding more traditional highlights or lowlights throughout your hair. I usually determine full vs. partial highlights based on the time spent on your hair. If you are looking to add significant brightness or dimension scalp to ends, this is your category. I only recommend a full highlight once or twice a year and then to maintain dimension with partial placements in between. Depending on your hair type and extent of color change, this can be a 3-4 hour service.
Partial Highlight
A partial highlight would mean we are adding more traditional highlights or lowlights throughout your hairline and top of your hair. I usually determine full vs. partial highlights based on the time spent on your hair. If you are looking to add minimal brightness or dimension scalp to ends with darkness or your natural underneath, this is your category. Most of the time even my partial guests will need a full highlight once a year for balance, but it is possible to stick with a partial placement. Depending on your hair type and extent of color change, this can be a 2-3 hour service.
Shades or Tint Single Process Color
A shades or tint single process color would mean we are creating a single color result with minimal dimension. Shades vs. tint would be determined by the resistance and percentage of gray hair. Shades is a demi-permanent, no lift conditioning color that can blend gray and add shine to the hair. If you are more than 50% gray or have resistant, coarse hair, you may need a permanent color tint to achieve the coverage and deposit desired. Frequency of visit can vary depending on guest preference, but most shades or tint applications will require maintenance every 5-7 weeks. Depending on your hair type and density, this can be a 1 1/2-2 1/2 hour service.
Global Lightening
A global lightening is a specialty lightening service that requires a full lightener retouch and sometimes lightening the ends. A platinum blonde global lightening is not going to be feasible or possible for every guest while maintaining the integrity of your hair, but when possible lends a solid, bright effect for a high statement color. Frequency of visit can vary depending on guest preference, but most global lightenings will require maintenance every 4-6 weeks for best result. Depending on your hair type and density, this can be a 3-4 hour service.
